LAMPASAS MISSION FUNDRAISER

Lampasas Mission will hold its annual beans and cornbread supper Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at New Covenant Church, 1604 Central Texas Expressway. Cash donations and non-perishable food items will be accepted.

BURN BAN

A countywide burn ban, which prohibits outdoor fires in areas outside incorporated city limits, is in effect. A violation is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.

There are certain exceptions, including exemptions for burning trash in a barrel and burning brush, subject to specific conditions. For more details, contact the county judge’s office at 512-556-8271.

HERB FEST PLUS ART IN THE PARK

The Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce’s 23rd Annual Herb & Art Fest will take place Saturday in conjunction with the Jammin’ with Art in the Park event. Activities will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hanna Springs Sculpture Garden at Campbell Park. There will be arts and crafts vendors, food trucks and free activities for children.

In addition, a “Grapes ‘n’ Grains” wine and beer garden will be offered for $15 per person.

Live music will feature Zac and Marci Morris, The Rivera Brothers and Clyde.
